RESUMEN Los recientes avances en el sector de las telecomunicaciones orientados a realizar cambios en los enfoques de las redes y los servicios prestados, conducen a la imperiosa necesidad de re orientar las perspectivas de las empresas hacia estándares y desarrollos con cobertura mundial, los cuales están siendo impulsados por diferentes actores de la industria de las telecomunicaciones (proveedores, carriers, clientes, etc.). Este artículo presenta los resultados obtenidos a partir de un trabajo de investigación en el cual se profundiza sobre la temática en mención y se propone un modelo de migración para operadores históricos y móviles en Colombia, donde la migración hacia infraestructuras de redes de próxima generación o NGN es una alternativa que brinda a los operadores, la oportunidad para contar con nuevos escenarios para el desarrollo de servicios. ANALYTICAL SUMMARY The recent advances in telecommunication sector are aimed at making changes in networks and service approaches, which make the need to re – directed the prospects for the industry to standards and developments with global coverage, that are being driven by different stakeholders (suppliers, carriers, customers, etc.). This paper presents the results obtained from a research project in which we examine on the subject in question and proposes a model of migration to mobile and historical operators in Colombia, where the migration to Next Generation Networks (NGN) is an alternative that gives operators the opportunity to have new scenarios for the development of services.
