dc.description.abstractEl turismo es una fuente de ingresos para la comunidad y motor de progreso para la región que lo promueve adecuadamente. Este proyecto, en forma general plantea la promoción del sector turístico del Departamento de Santander como una forma de llevar equidad a su gente. Para esto, deja a disposición de la comunidad mundial un portal de información turística georeferenciada de actualización dinámica y fácil acceso por Internet, siendo este una forma eficiente de promover los valores culturales y paisajísticos que la región posee. Los objetivos trazados para este proyecto son: A manera de objetivo general Colaborar en el desarrollo social y económico del Departamento de Santander con base en la divulgación y promoción en la Internet de la información turística georreferenciada del Departamento. Como objetivos específicos se busca Centralizar y categorizar la información del sector turístico del Departamento de Santander en un metamodelo que permita su uso masivo. Diseñar una aplicación SIG orientada a Internet que contribuya al desarrollo de la industria del turismo en el Departamento de Santander. Implantar el portal Internet que garantice la divulgación, promoción y oferta de servicios turísticos regionales a nivel nacional e internacional. El proyecto debe esperar hasta ver los indicadores del turismo en Santander para saber si es plenamente exitoso, sin embargo, se puede considerar que hasta el momento los es, puesto que los objetivos planteados fueron logrados a cabalidad

This project overall proposes to promote the tourism in Santander as a way to give equality to its own people. For this reason, an updated, dynamic, geo-referenced touristy database of easy internet accessibility, is left for the world community, with the aim of promoting our cultural values geographic places of interest. The objectives planned for this project are: The main Object for this Project is: To collaborate in the social and economic development of the Department of Santander with base in the spreading and promotion in the Internet of the geo-referenced tourist information of the Department. As objective specific one looks for to centralize and to categorizing the information of the tourist sector of the Department of Santander in metamodel that allows its massive use. To design an oriented application SIG to Internet that contributes to the development of the industry of the tourism in the Department of Santander. To implant the Internet Portal that guarantees the spreading, promotion and supply of regional tourist services at national and international level The project must hope until seeing the indicators of the tourism in Santander to know if he is totally successful, nevertheless, can be considered that until the moment it is them, since the raised objectives were obtained to exact.
