dc.descriptionIn this article I analyze the ‘emotivist-empiricist’ position that Alfred Julius Ayer presents when he approaches ethics in his text: Language, Truth and Logics:  Critique of Ethics and Theology. I also question his ideas about the theoretical ethics; as in his Philosophical Essays, the discussion is focused on the differentiation between ethics and metaethics. Thus, in ‘the analysis of the moral judgments’ the same study mechanisms are not used as in the emotivist perspective, since it is analyzed how the ethical statements, besides belonging to the field of meta-ethics, also permit to observe what men do when proposing moral judgments, which is ‘not moralizing per se’. To reconstruct both positions, it is necessary to go over the similarities and differences between this thinker and other philosophers who approach the same matter, such as Stevenson, Carnap and Hare.en-US
dc.descriptionEn el presente artículo analizo la posición ‘emotivista – empirista’ que Alfred Julius Ayer presenta en su texto:  Lenguaje, verdad y lógica: crítica de la ética y de la teología.  También examino sus ideas de la teoría ética; pues en sus  Ensayos  filosóficos  la discusión está enfocada hacia la diferenciación entre ética y metaética.  De esta manera, en el ‘análisis de los juicios morales’ no se utilizan los mismos mecanismos de estudio de la perspectiva emotivista, puesto que analiza cómo además de pertenecer al terreno de la metaética, los enunciados éticos permiten observar qué es aquello que los hombres hacen cuando plantean juicios morales, que ‘no es en sí mismo moralizar’.  Para reconstruir ambas posturas es necesario revisar las semejanzas y diferencias entre este pensador y otros filósofos quienes se inclinan hacia la misma problemática, entre ellos, Stevenson, Carnap y Hare.es-ES
