dc.description.abstractLa investigación científica ha establecido una asociación fuerte entre las variables obstétricas y el cáncer de mama, sin embargo, no se conoce el comportamiento específico según los subtipos moleculares de cáncer de mama. Se realizó un estudio retrospectivo de corte transversal en mujeres mayores de edad con diagnóstico de cáncer de mama, las cuales asistieron a consulta a centros de referencia en oncología del nororiente de Colombia. Se seleccionaron las pacientes según los criterios de elegibilidad por medio de las oficinas de estadística a través de la tamización en registros electrónicos durante el periodo 2012 a 2021. Se estableció la relación del diagnóstico por subtipos moleculares (Luminal A, Luminal B, HER2) con los antecedentes de paridad, edad al primer embarazo e historia de lactancia materna. Conclusión: no se logró evidencia concluyente sobre la asociación diferencial entre los antecedentes obstétricos y los subtipos moleculares de cáncer de mama en mujeres del nororiente de Colombia, sin embargo, se generaron datos de interés en relación a la distribución por subtipos, las edades y los estadios tumorales al momento del diagnóstico, ahora bien, se espera que esta investigación sea el punto de partida para una línea de investigación que establezca nuevos estudios encaminados en seguir caracterizando los factores de riesgo y el cáncer de mama en la población colombiana.
dc.description.abstractenglishScientific research has established a strong association between obstetric variables and breast cancer, however, the specific behavior according to molecular subtypes of breast cancer is not known. A retrospective cross-sectional study was carried out in older women diagnosed with breast cancer, who attended consultation at oncology referral centers in northeastern Colombia. Patients were selected according to eligibility criteria by means of statistical offices through screening in electronic records during the period 2012 to 2021. The relationship of diagnosis by molecular subtypes (Luminal A, Luminal B, HER2) with the history of parity, age at first pregnancy and history of breastfeeding was established. Conclusion: no conclusive evidence was obtained on the differential association between obstetric history and molecular subtypes of breast cancer in women from northeastern Colombia, however, interesting data were generated in relation to the distribution by subtypes, ages and tumor stages at the time of diagnosis, however, it is expected that this research will be the starting point for a line of research that establishes new studies aimed at further characterizing the risk factors and breast cancer in the Colombian population.
