dc.description.abstractLa geotecnia como técnica para el mejoramiento de la estabilidad de los suelos; es la rama de la ingeniería civil e ingeniería geológica que se encarga del estudio de las propiedades mecánicas, hidráulicas e ingenieriles de los materiales provenientes de la Tierra. Los estudios geotécnicos investigan e indagan el suelo y las rocas por debajo de la superficie para determinar sus propiedades y diseñar las cimentaciones para estructuras tales como edificios, puentes, centrales hidroeléctricas, estabilizar taludes, construir túneles y carreteras, etc. Es por esto que en presente trabajo de grado consiste en hacer un estudio geotécnico que permita aplicar las técnicas de remediación existentes al talud ubicado en el Gasoducto Gibraltar- Bucaramanga, Sector PK 101+500, con base en la experiencia, en la técnica y en todo el desarrollo que en mecánica de suelos y estabilización de taludes se tiene se pretende realizar un estudio para escoger el método que más se adapte a las condiciones del sector en mención. Geotechnical studies inquire and investigate the soil and rocks beneath the surface to determine its properties and designing foundations for structures such as buildings, bridges, Central hydroelectric, stabilize embankments, build tunnels and roads, etc. That's why in this degree work consists of making a geotechnical study that allows to apply existing slope located in the Gibraltar - Bucaramanga pipeline remediation techniques, Sector PK 101 + 500, based on the experience, technique and all development having in soil mechanics and slope stabilization is intended to carry out a study to choose the method that best suits the conditions of... Once completed the project will be remedial and mitigating works in the study area; Since the instability that occurs generates risks and causes delays in providing optimum service. The implementation of the present work seeks to know the Geotechnical behavior of the right of way of the pipeline in the sector of the Pk 101 + 500, starting from the specific conditions that can affect it and from the obtained information design strategies to minimize and control all the factors that threaten the integrity of the pipeline and the stability of the banking system in this critical sector of the path .
