En el presente artículo se demostrará que Los Hermanos de las Escuelas Cristianasfueron un bastión para el proyecto político conservador, empleando la educación paramantener y promover las ideas tradicionalistas, desde su llegada en 1890, hasta mitadde siglo XX, -haciendo énfasis en los años de 1948 a 1958-. Para tal fin se hablarádel origen de la comunidad, del arribo de esta congregación a Colombia, de su roleducativo-político y de los conflictos que la rodearon.Palabras clave: Educación, Lasallistas, Partido Conservador, cívica, Juan Bautistade la Salle.
In this article it will be proved that the Brothers of the Christian Schools supportedthe conservative political Project, using the education to keep and promote thetraditionalist ideas from their arrival in 1890 to the first half of the twentieth century,emphasizing the 1948-1958 decade.
