Estudiando la trayectoria de la Escuela de Historia de la Universidad Industrial de Santander, y de su revista, el Anuario de Historia Regional y de las Fronteras, se analizan los motivos que llevaron a que esta última se concentrara en temáticas divergentes de su misión inicial y a su interés por un determinado período de la historia; se aborda su impacto nacional e internacional y se trazan algunos derroteros para el futuro de la misma, retomando el espíritu de su proyecto fundador.
Studying the origin and development of the School of History at the Universidad Industrial de Santander and its journal, the Anuario de Historia Regional y de las Fronteras, this article analyses the reasons which led the latter to concentrate in themes opposed to its initial mission as well as its interest in a certain period of history. It also discusses the national and international impact of the academic publication and charts a course for its future, returning to the spirit of its founding project.
