dc.description.abstractenglish | The process that is given to natural gas used by consumers is much simpler than the process that oil goes through, but this is still important since crude natural gas comes with numerous impurities from the reservoir that must be removed so that it can comply with the sales and transport regulations already established. In general, the natural gas process consists of the separation of impurities (CO2, H2S) and the removal of water with which it comes from the reservoir. This project will only seek the dehydration of natural gas. In dehydration, the water vapor that is associated with crude natural gas is removed, in order to prevent the formation of hydrates, corrosion in pipes, decrease in pipeline efficiency and accumulation of liquids in the line causing plugging. There are various methods of removing water, for this specific case a desiccant, triethylene glycol (TEG) will be used, which will help lower the amount of water with which the gas stream comes to at least 6 lb / MMSCF, this will be the maximum water content that the flue gas will have for it to be transported. (CREG Resolution 071 of 1999 which establishes the single regulation for the transportation of natural gas).
