We present the results of a study to determine analytical expressions that relate the spark voltage (V50%) of the insulation under the air to the inter electronic separation distance (up to 85 cm). Using standard atmospheric pulses. These expressions may be used in the Colombian electrical system to the atmospheric conditions of the location of the equipment and applicable to short distances. The "Up and down" methodology was used to determine the VJO% and the maximum likelihood method for its statistical treatment. The study was carried out using the tip-tip and tip-standard configurations.
