dc.description.abstractenglish | The corrosion by CO2/H2S in the gas and petroleum production represents one of the most important areas of research, due to the critical necessity to evaluate the severity of the corrosion and thus to diminish the risk of problems in operation, and in addition to lowering the effective costs of production. In Colombia, the researches have been oriented to the study of the CO2 corrosion, although in the country production can appear some traces of H2S, that are a potential harmful for the materials of the pipelines for transporting hydrocarbons. The present project is pioneer in the study of multiphase systems (brine/oil/gas) in combined atmospheres (CO2/H2S), and it is a fundamental base for carrying out more studies that allow to understand the inhibition mechanisms to find out the solution of this type of corrosion. To carry out this research, the concentrations of CO2 and H2S and the hydrodynamics conditions present in the pipelines were simulated in the electrode of rotatory cylinder, the flow simulator, "loop", and high temperature and pressure electrode rotating cylinder (ECRATAP), equipment that was developed for this project and that is unique in Colombia. In these geometries the corrosion rate were determined on steel AISI 1020, as well as, the mass transfer coefficients and viscous layers of the representative species of the system, also the morphology of corrosion products of these atmospheres was characterized. This study allowed to conclude that the species related to CO2 (H2CO3), are those that influence the mechanism of deterioration of steel AISI 1020, behaviour that was strongly influenced by the variation of the electrode speed, the temperature and pH
