A technological advance in this area is solid heterogeneous catalysts, among which stands for calcium oxide. Considering that continuous processes are used in industry to obtain high-demand products, for which purpose in search of a continuous system for the transesterification reaction of palm oil, using CaO, catalyst was carried out installation and commissioning of a packed bed reactor and continuous flow, to laboratory scale. Activation tests were performed so in situ and ex situ. It is necessary for the conditions studied a time of 16 h of an ex situ and in situ in a longer time, for the catalyst is fully activated. the reaction conditions were analyze such as space velocity, in order to determine the diffusional effects area away. It was found that when working with a space velocity 0.06 and 0.10 min-1, there are not effects due to external diffusion.Furthermore, the addition of cosolvents was explored as terbutanol and ethyl acetate, with which it had the best performance to methyl esters, it was 35%.
