dc.description.abstractLa satisfacción de la persona hospitalizada y su familia con el cuidado dispensado por la enfermera, incluye un ambiente de cuidado asistencial que resuelva las necesidades fisiológicas, emocionales y espirituales de la persona ingresada a la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos de Adultos (UCIA). En la actualidad se habla, no solamente, de la preparación técnica de la persona que labora en una unidad de cuidado intensivo de adultos, sino también se hace énfasis en cuidados humanizados a las personas hospitalizadas y sus familias, los cuales buscan garantizar la dignidad e integridad del ser humano, estos están intrínsecos en todo el personal que presta sus servicios en esta área. Este estudio es de tipo transversal donde se utilizaron 8 variables de la población a estudio conformada por 232 familiares de las personas hospitalizadas en la Unidad de Cuidado Intensivo Adulto del Hospital Universitario de Santander (HUS), el tipo de muestreo empleado fue a conveniencia y el instrumento utilizado fue una encuesta de tipo dirigido, los datos fueron analizados en epi-info 604D. Resultados: Se ve la necesidad de reforzar el proceso de información intrahospitalaria por parte de la enfermera y el medico tratante para evitar informaciones distorsionadas acerca del real estado de salud, diagnostico y pronostico de la persona hospitalizada, para lo cual se recomienda que la enfermera y el medico estén presentes durante la hora de la visita y atiendan las inquietudes y dudas de la familia, brindando información oportuna, clara y honesta que pueda lograr que la familia se prepare para eventos adversos como la muerte del ser querido, mas aun durante su estancia en la Unidad de Cuidado Intensivo, logrando que estos se conviertan en un verdadero apoyo para el proceso de recuperación de la persona enferma, ofreciendo así un servicio de calidad.
dc.description.abstractenglishThe hospitalized person's satisfaction and their family with the care excused by the nurse, include an atmosphere of assistance care that solves the person's physiologic, emotional and spiritual necessities entered to the Unit of Intensive Cares of Adults (UCIA). At the present time it is spoken, not only, of the person's technical preparation that works in an unit of adults' intensive care, but emphasis is made also in cares humanized to hospitalized people and their families, which look for to guarantee the dignity and the human being's integrity, these they are intrinsic in the whole personnel that lends their services in this area. This study is of traverse type where 8 variables were used from the population to study conformed by people's 232 relatives hospitalized in the Unit of Care Intensive Adult of the University Hospital of Santander (HUS), the type of used sampling went to convenience and the used instrument was a survey of directed type, the data were analyzed in epi-info 604D. Results: Leave the necessity to reinforce the process of information intrahospitalaria on the part of the nurse and the one prescribes dealer to avoid informations distorted about the real state of health, I diagnose and I predict of the hospitalized person, for that which is recommended that the nurse and the one prescribes they are present during the hour of the visit and assist the restlessness and doubts of the family, offering opportune information, white and honest that can achieve that the family gets ready for adverse events as the death of being wanted, but even during its stay in the Unit of Intensive Care, achieving that these they become a true support for the process of the sick person's recovery, offering this way a service of quality.
