dc.description.abstract	Este investigación de centra en el proceso de colonización que permitió el surgimiento del municipio de San Vicente de Chucurí entere 1886 y 1925. Para ello se hace un seguimiento a tres elementos constitutivos del proceso: la construcción de caminos, la compra-venta de tierras, y el mapeo de las actividades tanto de las familias, como de las autoridades municipales. Con el estudio del proceso de colonización de San Vicente se identifican parte de las relaciones socioeconómicas de la historia de la colonización en Santander, así como los factores que afectaron su expansión y crisis. Entre ellos la migración de grupos de personas provenientes de antiguas poblaciones, la construcción de caminos hacia el Río Magdalena, la compra y venta de tierras y el predominio de un grupo de familias en el poder local. Todo esto, ubicado en el marco de los cambios económicos de finales del siglo XIX, generó la formación de una comunidad que configuraría un proceso de colonización espontánea, pero a su vez la formación de una jurisdicción político administrativa. De esta manera podemos comprender el liderazgo y estrategia de algunos propietarios comprando poco y vendiendo mucho, comprando mucho y vendiendo poco o, comprando y vendiendo por igual. Esta forma de conducir el mercado de la compra y venta de tierras, arrojó en 39 años seis ciclos cuyos movimientos, variaciones o fluctuaciones fueron el resultado de factores internos, regionales y nacionales, dejando su marca sobre la parte media de la serranía, tal como se aprecia en el mapa número ocho.
dc.description.abstractenglish	This research focuses on the colonization process that allowed the emergence of the municipality of San Vicente de Chucurí finds 1886 and 1925. This is tracked three elements of the process: the construction of roads, the purchase and sale of land, and the mapping of the activities of both families, as municipal authorities. With the study of the process of colonization of San Vicente identify socioeconomic relations part of the history of colonization in Santander, and the factors that affected its expansión and crisis. Among them migrating groups of people from ancient populations, the building of roads to the Magdalena River, the purchase and sale of land and the dominance of a group of families in the local power. All this, located within the economic changes of the late nineteenth century, led to the formation of a community that would configure a spontaneous colonization process, but in turn the formation of a political and administrative jurisdiction. In this way we can understand the leadership and strategy of some owners buying and selling little much, buying long and selling short or buying and selling alike. This way of driving the market for buying and selling land in 39 years yielded six cycles whose movements , variations or fluctuations were the result of internal , regional and national , leaving its mark on the middle of the mountains , as shown in the map number eight .
