| dc.description.abstractenglish | This study aims to analyze the biomechanical behavior of the shoulder joint complex during the execution of the volleyball serve through the integration of two-dimensional video analysis and musculoskeletal computational modeling. Kinovea was used to obtain kinematic variables from high-speed recordings, while OpenSim enabled the estimation of joint moments using inverse dynamics within a controlled simulation environment. The methodological approach follows a hybrid framework combining experimental observation and an idealized biomechanical model, allowing the evaluation of kinematic trends and dynamic loads without direct data coupling between both methods. Results revealed a consistent kinematic pattern characterized by a progressive acceleration phase followed by an abrupt deceleration after impact. From a dynamic perspective, peak joint moments were observed between 0.7–0.8 s, showing synchronized behavior across the sternoclavicular, acromioclavicular, and glenohumeral joints, with the acromioclavicular joint exhibiting the highest values. The rate of torque development identified critical instants of mechanical demand, particularly during the transition to the acceleration phase. The integrated analysis supports the interpretation of the shoulder complex as a coordinated energy transfer system, where proximal-to-distal sequencing governs the generation and release of mechanical energy. Additionally, the high negative angular velocities observed during deceleration highlight a mechanically demanding phase associated with injury risk. Although absolute magnitudes differ from literature due to methodological limitations, the observed trends remain biomechanically consistent, reinforcing the validity of the proposed approach. | |
