dc.description.abstract	El objetivo de la presente investigación es fundamentalmente poder determinar las percepciones acerca de los conceptos de ciudadanía que tienen las estudiantes de los grados décimo y undécimo de un colegio privado de la ciudad de Bucaramanga y su relación estadísticamente significativa con las variables (Edad, Estrato Social y Rendimiento Académico). Lo primero que se hizo fue una indagación de los antecedentes acerca de investigaciones que dieran cuenta de la misma problemática en el ámbito internacional, nacional y local y que de esta manera ofrecieran el soporte y el rigor suficiente para desarrollar esta investigación. Por otro lado, dentro del cuerpo del presente trabajo se hace alusión a los conceptos de democracia y principalmente sobre la ciudadanía desde la mirada de varios autores como Giovanni Sartori y Adela Cortina Ciudadanos del MundoAdemás se hace la elucidación del concepto de percepción desde la psicología y la filosofía. Dentro del marco legal se tiene en cuenta la Constitución Política colombiana y las respectivas leyes sobre educación. Se optó por la investigación de corte cuantitativo, utilizando para ello el diseño transaccional o transversal descriptivo tipo encuesta cuyo instrumento de aplicación fue un cuestionario previamente diseñado y reestructurado acorde con los resultados ofrecidos por la prueba piloto. Dentro de los hallazgos más significativos alcanzados en la presente investigación cabe resaltar el conocimiento acerca de la ciudadanía que tienen las participantes cuyas fuentes principales son la familia y la escuela, lo cual resulta muy importante ya que nos permite evidenciar el cumplimiento de una labor pedagógica y social por parte de ambas instituciones.
dc.description.abstractenglish	The main objective of the current research consisted mainly on determining the perceptions about citizenship from the students of tenth and eleventh grades in a private school in the city of Bucaramanga and its close statistical relationship with the variables of age, socio economic level and academic performance. First, an investigation about the background of the research itself in the same field that is described in this paper was made. Considering the international, national and local magnitude on the same areato determine and support on a strong basis the current research. On the other hand, this paper presents the conceptions of democracy and citizenship. Mainly, the latter under the insight of well-known authors such as Giovanni Sartori and Adela Cortina and their ideas exposed in some if the C Furthermore, this paper also presents the elucidation of the concept of perception from the psychological and philosophical aspects. Now, considering the legal matter on the topic that is being depicted, the Colombian constitution and Colombian law regarding the educational area were considered as well. Quantitative research was carried out, using the transversal descriptive method, known as survey or poll which was previously designed based on the data collected in the trial run. Some of the most relevant findings, presented in this paper can be described as the high background students have about citizenship, who rely their knowledge about the discussed subjectin school and family, which is really important when talking about educational and social functions these elements represent in our Colombian society.
