dc.description.abstract	Hay veces que las películas de ficción pueden llegar a presentarse como un espejo de lo que vemos en nuestra cotidianidad; desde situaciones que se relatan hasta los personajes con características que dejan al espectador con inquietud y curiosidad hacia lo que hay. También, algo que genera relevancia es que siempre se encontrará la forma de poder analizar un film por el hecho de que no solamente nos presentan personajes sino diferentes personalidades que nos ayuda a estudiar acerca de cómo funciona la subjetividad de cada persona y cómo esta genera más relevancia y coherencia ante lo que vemos en un film. Para retratar esto, en esta tesis se dará un análisis la película American Psycho en tres momentos diferenciados: el primero, que se ocupa de trabajar sobre la cultura yuppie para contextualizar la cinta en sus elementos culturales y epocales; el segundo, se ocupa de exponer el andamiaje conceptual psicoanalítico que sirve de base para; en el tercer momento, poner a dialogar la cinta con estos términos desde una rigurosidad conceptual propia de las investigaciones en el campo de la filosofía.
dc.description.abstractenglish	There are times when fiction films can come to present themselves as a mirror of what we see in our daily lives; from the situations they depict to the characters with traits that leave the viewer feeling uneasy and curious about what lies beneath. Also, something that generates relevance is that one will always find a way to analyze a film, simply because films do not only present us with characters but with different personalities that help us study how each person's subjectivity works and how this generates greater relevance and coherence in relation to what we see in a film. To illustrate this, this thesis will provide an analysis of the film American Psycho in three distinct moments: the first, which focuses on the yuppie culture to contextualize the film within its cultural and historical elements; the second, which sets out the psychoanalytic conceptual framework that serves as the basis for; the third moment, bringing the film into dialogue with these terms with the conceptual rigor characteristic of research in the field of philosophy.
