dc.description.abstract	En la actualidad el interés por los temas relacionados con el respeto a los derechos humanos y el cuidado del medio ambiente ha aumentado, por esta razón, la implementación de iniciativas y proyectos relacionados con responsabilidad social se han multiplicado. La responsabilidad social corporativa se define entonces como el compromiso por parte de las empresas a mejorar las condiciones sociales y ambientales del lugar donde desarrollan sus actividades. El trabajo ofrece una guía completa en la cual se describen las principales iniciativas y normas estándares relacionadas con responsabilidad social y los avances en cuanto al tema realizados a nivel nacional y departamental. Adicionalmente se profundiza la iniciativa del Pacto Global propuesta por Naciones unidas, considerándolo como el indicador más completo para medir proyectos relacionados con ética empresarial y responsabilidad social. Finalmente se presenta un análisis sobre la situación de la responsabilidad social corporativa y pacto global en Santander derivado de una encuesta realizada a las principales empresas del departamento; los resultados arrojados revelan que aunque el interés está presente en las organizaciones y estas quieren incrementar este tipo de políticas en sus lugares de trabajo, aún falta mucha información acerca del tema y se hace necesaria la creación de un organismo que brinde asesoría y compile las experiencias y avances de las empresas respecto a esta propuesta.
dc.description.abstractenglish	At present the interest in the topics related to the respect to the human rights and the care of the environment has increased, for this reason, the implementation of initiatives and projects related to the social responsibility have multiplied. The corporative social responsibility is defined as the commitment on the part of the companies to better the social and environmental conditions of the place where they develop their activities. The work offers a complete guide which describes main initiatives and standard norms related to social responsibility and the advances as far as the subject made at national and departmental level. Additionally the initiative of the proposed Global Compact by United Nations is deepened, considering it to be the most complete indicator to measure projects related to enterprise ethics and social responsibility. Finally an analysis appears on the situation of the social corporate responsibility and global agreement in Santander derived from a poll realized to the principal companies of department; the following results reveal that although the interest is present in the organizations and these want to increase this type of politics in there places of work, a lot of information about the topic is still absent and it becomes necessary to create an organism that offers consultancy and compiles the experiences and advances of the companies with regard to this proposal.
