dc.description.abstract	La minería a cielo abierto una de las áreas que presenta mayor riesgo para la salud y la integridad de los trabajadores. Por ende es importante que la gestión de mantenimiento se enfoque en el desarrollo e implementación de las mejores prácticas en seguridad industrial y que se encuentre soportada en un pleno conocimiento, de todos los factores que inciden en el sector. El siguiente documento establece una guía en cuanto a la documentación y principales instructivos que se deben desarrollar para el área de mantenimiento industrial; alineándose con los paramentos y recomendaciones dados por la norma OHSAS 18001. Efectúa una descripción del sector minero informando acerca de los principales peligros, tipos de accidentes y enfermedades que están expuestos los trabajadores en el mantenimiento y de igual modo explica cómo debe realizar un panorama de riesgos. También se brinda información acerca de la legislación y normatividad vigente y como registrar información útil que brinde soporte para una gestión efectiva en el área de seguridad industrial y salud ocupacional. En el capítulo final se exponen acerca de los diferentes equipos de protección personal que deben usar los trabajadores y como se deben seleccionar de acuerdo a los riesgos identificados. En conclusión se responde a los problemas técnicos, de gestión y de personal inherente al Mantenimiento Industrial, Seguridad y salud Ocupacional en el campo de la minería.
dc.description.abstractenglish	The Opencast Mining is one of the areas that presents the greatest risk to the health and integrity of workers. For that reason, it is important that the maintenance management focuses on the development and implementation of best practices in industrial safety and that is supported with a full knowledge of all factors affecting the sector. The following document provides guidance as to the documentation and main instructions that must be developed for industrial maintenance area, aligning with the parameters and recommendations given by the OHSAS 18001. It makes a description of the mining sector informing about the main hazards, types of injuries and illnesses that maintenance workers are exposed and also explains how to perform a risk scenario. It also provides information about current legislation and regulations and how to register useful information that provides support for an effective management in the industrial safety and occupational health area. In the final chapter presents the different personal protective equipment that must be used by employees and how they should be selected according to identified risks. In conclusion, the document responds to the technical, management and staff problems inherent to the Industrial Maintenance, Safety and Occupational Health in the mining field. 2
