dc.description.abstractLa mineralización se encuentra encajada principalmente en neis cuarzofeldéspatico, neis horblendicobiotítico, migmatitas y tectonitas, pertenecientes a la unidad Neis de Bucaramanga. Estas rocas metamórficas han sido intruidas por varios cuerpos ígneos de composición tonalitica a granodioritica. El yacimiento Angostura esta constituido por un sistema de vetas de cuarzo con sulfuros, agrupadas en bloques tabulares. Este modelo de bloques se tomó como referencia para realizar el presente estudio. La mineralización consta de oro (electrum, silvanita), plata tipo hessita, pirita, calcopirita, tetrahedrita, digenita, cantidades variables de covelina, bornita, enargita, marcasita, arsenopirita, calcosina, bismutinita y oxidos como hematina, magnetita, ilmenita y limonita como hidróxido. La ganga principalmente es cuarzo, sericita y pequeñas cantidades de arcillas y otros silicatos. La alteración dominante es la silicificación y sericitización. Se definieron cuatro tipos de mena según los minerales dominantes asi: Mena tipo 1, formada por oro, plata, pirita digenita, tetrahedrita, y ocasionalmente marcasita, calcosina y teluros de plata en cantidades traza; el oro ocurre principalmente como oro libre e incluido en pirita. dc.description.abstractenglishAngostura deposit is located North eastern of the “Macizo De Santander” on the Colombian Eastern Cordillera, in the California town (Santander Department). This gold and silver deposit belongs to the Canadian Grey Star Resources Ltd Project, which actually is in a mining exploration stage. Mineralization is mainly in quartz-feldspar neis, hornblendic biotitic neis, migmatites and tectonites which are part of the Bucaramanga’s neis unit. These metamorphic rocks have been encrusted by several tonalitic to granodioritic composed igneous bodies. Angostura deposit is formed by an inter-bedded quartz-sulfides system grouped in tabular blocks. This blocks model was taken as a reference for the actual study purposes. Mineralization is composed by gold (electrum, silvanite), hessite type silver, pyrite, chalcopyrite, tetrahedrite, digenite, several amounts of coveline, bornite, enargite, marcasite, arsenopyrite, calcosine, bismutinite and oxidations such as: hematine, magnetite, ilmenite and limonite. Quartz is the main matrix, sericite, small amounts of clay and some other silicates. Dominant alteration is mainly silification and sericitation. Depending on the dominant minerals, four mean types were defined as follows: Type 1 Ore: Composed by gold, silver, digenite, Pyrite, tetrahedrite and occasionally marcasite, calcosine, and traces of silver telures; gold appear as free gold and also included into pyrite. Type 2 Ore: Formed by gold, silver, piryte, chalcopyrite, occasionally digenite or tetrahedrite and scattered, seldom calcosine, enargite, arsenopyrite, bismutinite, silver telures, bornite and marcasite. Gold is mainly found included into pyrite. Type 3 Ore: Composed by gold, silver and pyrite. Occasionally tetrahedrite traces. Gold found in this kind of matrix is sub-microscopic type. Type 4 Ore: Composed by gold, silver, ilmenite, hematite, limonite and magnetite; also traces of chalcopyrite and tetrahydrite. Gold is also sub-microscopic type here. Gold is associated to pyrite, tetrahydrite and digenite. In Angostura deposite gold is found as individual crystals and granular aggregates. Anhedral and euhedral crystals are freely associated to the matrix. Associated to other copper-iron sulfides, interstitials between pyrite aggregates and also included in pyrite and tetrahedrite crystals. Gold grain size varies between 1 to 30 microns, also it was determined sub_x0002_microscopic gold by electronic microscopy means and confirmed by fire testing esays. Matrix – Gange ratio in the ore deposit is 3/7, remaining steady this ratio in an homogeneous form for the whole deposit. Sulfides related with the mineralization are in the 1 to 200 microns sizes, with predominant 1 to 25 microns sizes. Mineralization is structurally controlled by the fault system with North-east direction and secondary faults on the North-East and East-west directions.
