dc.description.abstract	El presente trabajo, denominado plan de negocios para la creación de una IPS universitaria especializada en atención domiciliaria en la ciudad de Bucaramanga y liderada por la Universidad Industrial de Santander, surge como respuesta al crecimiento de las enfermedades crónicas, el envejecimiento poblacional y la necesidad de desarrollar modelos de atención más eficientes, humanizados y centrados en el paciente. La investigación integró un estudio de mercado, análisis de la oferta y la demanda, estudio técnico-operativo, estructura organizacional y evaluación financiera, con el propósito de determinar la viabilidad del proyecto. Los resultados evidencian condiciones favorables para su implementación, especialmente por el respaldo institucional de la Universidad Industrial de Santander, la priorización inicial de los usuarios de UISALUD como mercado objetivo y la creciente demanda de servicios de salud en el hogar. La propuesta busca facilitar el acceso oportuno a los servicios, garantizar la continuidad del cuidado y mejorar la experiencia de los pacientes y sus familias, mediante procesos orientados a la calidad, seguridad y eficiencia. Se concluye que la IPS universitaria constituye una oportunidad viable para diversificar la oferta de servicios de salud, fortalecer la relación docencia-servicio, generar nuevos escenarios de formación práctica y contribuir al mejoramiento de la atención en salud regional, mediante un modelo innovador, humanizado y sostenible.
dc.description.abstractenglish	This project, entitled Business Plan for the Creation of a University Health Services Provider Institution (IPS) Specialized in Home-Based Healthcare in the City of Bucaramanga and Led by the Universidad Industrial de Santander, arises in response to the increasing prevalence of chronic diseases, population aging, and the need to develop more efficient, humanized, and patient-centered healthcare models. The research included a market study, analysis of supply and demand, a technical-operational study, organizational structure, and financial evaluation, with the purpose of determining the feasibility of the project. The results demonstrate favorable conditions for its implementation, particularly due to the institutional support of the Universidad Industrial de Santander, the initial prioritization of UISALUD users as the target market, and the growing demand for home-based healthcare services. The proposal seeks to facilitate timely access to healthcare services, ensure continuity of care, and improve the experience of patients and their families through processes focused on quality, safety, and efficiency. It is concluded that the University Health Services Provider Institution represents a viable opportunity to diversify the healthcare service portfolio, strengthen the teaching-service relationship, create new practical training opportunities, and contribute to improving regional healthcare through an innovative, humanized, and sustainable model.
