dc.description.abstract	El proyecto identifica, selecciona, recopila y digitaliza la información correspondiente a la red sanitaria, red de acueducto, red de media tensión, luminarias, zonas peatonales, zonas verdes, zonas viales, parqueaderos, perímetro de los edificios y cerramiento de la Facultad de Salud de la Universidad Industrial de Santander. Los datos se tomaron empleando una Estación Total de Topografía y utilizando los puntos de referencia SIG-UIS-FS-1 ubicados en la portería y la zona deportiva de la sede. Se digitalizó y se proceso la información recolectada en campo en Microsoft Office Excel con el fin de vincular dicha información con Autodesk.Map y de esta forma lograr minimizar el error en la digitalización del levantamiento topográfico hecho a la facultad; paralelamente a este proceso se crearon diversas tablas en una base de datos (Microsoft Office Access) con la información considerada relevante para su posterior vinculación a las diferentes topologías realizadas con base en el plano final de la facultad; dichas topologías están hechas en forma vectorial, es decir, en forma de nodos, redes o polígonos y cada una de ellas corresponde a una tabla de las anteriormente establecidas en (Microsoft Office Access). Una vez se tiene toda la información enlazada se procede a la creación de los archivos shapes (.SHP) que contienen los atributos alfanuméricos recolectados en campo y la documentación existente así como su cartografía. El montaje e implementación del SIG se realiza en el software libre gvSIG y simultáneamente, como aporte de la práctica empresarial, se desarrolla un manual didáctico de usuario para el aprendizaje del gvSIG basado en el Manual Didáctico de ArcView, propiedad intelectual del profesor Jorge Gómez Gómez quien participó y aprobó esta edición.
dc.description.abstractenglish	The project identifies, selects, compiles and digitizes the information related to sanitation network, aqueduct system, medium tension network, luminaries, pedestrian zones, green areas, road zones, parking lots, perimeter of the building and the enclosure of the Health Faculty from Universidad Industrial de Santander. The data was collected by using a Total Topographic Station and the reference points GIS-UIS-FS1 which are located at the main gate and at the sport areas of the University. The information collected in the field was digitalized and processed in Microsoft Excel with the purpose to link it with Autodesk.Map and in this way it would be possible to diminish the errors in the digitalization of the topographical survey done in the faculty, parallel to this process, different tables were created in a data base program (Microsof t Office Access) with the information considered relevant for its later link to the different topologies done according to the final plane of the faculty; These topologies are done in a vectorial form, meaning, in nodes shape, networks or polygons and each topology correspond to the each table done in Access. Once all the information is linked, the files shapes (.SHP) are created which contain the alphanumeric attributes gathered in field and the existing papers as well as its cartography. The assembly and implementation of GIS is done in the free software gvSIG and simultaneously, as contribution to the work experience, a didactic user Manual for the learning of gvSIG is developed based on the ArcView Didactic Manual, intellectual property of Professor Jorge Gómez Gómez who participated and approved this edition.
