dc.description.abstract	El diseño estructural es uno de los primeros pasos para la elaboración de un proyecto, ya que es allí donde se realiza un balance entre las funciones que un material puede brindar y sus características naturales siempre alcanzando el más óptimo equilibrio costo-funcionabilidad. Una labor complementaria es la supervisión técnica la cual es una de las piezas más importantes que conforman el sistema de control para el buen desarrollo de las obras. Así, el uso de este instrumento debe llevarse a cabo, con la mayor responsabilidad, pulcritud, veracidad y objetividad. Por este motivo, en la empresa Alexis Vega Ingenieros S.A.S. se realizó la práctica empresarial dando apoyo ingenieril en el diseño estructural de un proyecto de vivienda familiar ubicado en el municipio de Piedecuesta. Se realizaron labores complementarias en oficina al alcance del practicante tales como elaboración y ploteo de planos, memorias de cálculo, despiece de elementos estructurales tales como vigas, viguetas, columnas y muros estructurales. Todo esto se complementa con el trabajo en campo, se realiza la supervisión técnica de uno de los proyectos diseñados con el fin de lograr un desarrollo íntegro del proyecto. Mediante este proceso se logra definir la ruta crítica del proyecto, para de esta manera realizar un balance óptimo de costos entre mano de obra, materiales y tiempo.
dc.description.abstractenglish	Structural design is maybe one of the firsts steps on a project development, even is there when we make a balance between the functions that a material can provide and its natural characteristics, always achieving the most optimal cost-functionality balance. A complementary task is the technical supervision which is one of the most important pieces that make up the control system for the good development of the works. The use of this instrument must be carried out, with the greatest responsibility, neatness, truthfulness, and objectivity. For this reason, in the company Alexis Vega Ingenieros S.A.S. the business practice was carried out giving engineering support in the structural design of one project located in the municipality of Piedecuesta. Complementary work was done in the office available to the practitioner such as the elaboration and plotting of plans, calculation memories, exploded structural elements such as beams, joists, columns and structural walls. All this is complemented by the construction work, technical supervision of one of the projects designed to achieve a complete development of the project is carried out. Through this process, it is possible to define the critical path of the project, in order to achieve an optimal balance of costs between labor, materials and time.
