| dc.description.abstract | Este trabajo de grado hace parte del proceso de actualización curricular de la Escuela de Ingeniería Metalúrgica y Ciencia de Materiales de la Universidad Industrial de Santander iniciado en el segundo semestre de 2006 con el fin de dar confiabilidad y soporte a las actividades técnicas, docentes y de extensión, cubrir la demanda de laboratorios especializados, mejorar y actualizar el plan de estudios para hacerlo más acorde con las necesidades de la industria nacional. Mediante la aplicación del enfoque en procesos y del ciclo PHVA se desarrolló el diagnóstico inicial; analizando las áreas de trabajo y los flujos de los procesos del laboratorio; se diseñó y elaboró un procedimiento de manejo, control y almacenamiento de reactivos integrando las áreas de carbones y calcinación-fusión de minerales. Se realizó un proceso de sensibilización y capacitación de personal del Laboratorio de Pirometalurgia y de otras áreas interdisciplinarias de investigación para iniciar con la implementación del sistema de aseguramiento de calidad, según ISO/IEC 17025:2005 y así dar confiabilidad al desarrollo de ensayos estándar adecuados para el laboratorio. Se estructuró y elaboró toda la documentación del sistema de gestión compuesta por el manual de calidad, manuales de funciones, de seguridad industrial, de procedimientos técnicos y administrativos relacionados con el Laboratorio de Pirometalurgia. Adicionalmente, se diseñó el portafolio de servicios que será su carta de presentación ante clientes nuevos y potenciales. Posteriormente se desarrolló una auditoria interna para verificar la eficacia de las distintas actividades que constituyen el sistema de la calidad y a su vez se estableció un plan de acción con medidas correctivas y preventivas para garantizar la mejora continua del laboratorio. | |
| dc.description.abstractenglish | This degree project is part of the process of curricular update of the Metallurgical Engineering School and Science of Materials at the Industrial University of Santander started on second half of 2006 in order to obtain support and get reliability to the technical, educational and extension activities, covering the demand of specialized laboratories, to improve and to update the curriculum to agree the needs of the national industry. The initial diagnosis was developed focusing on processes and the PHVA cycle and it analyzes the working areas and the processes flow of the Pyro-Metallurgy Laboratory (PML); the procedure of handling, control and storage of reagents was designed and elaborated integrating the coal areas and mineral calcination-fusion. The process of sensitize and qualifying of personnel of the PML was initiated with other areas of investigation in order to implement the quality securing system; in this way the PML develops standard and adapted tests according to ISO/IEC 17025:2005 in order to guarantee the reliability. The management system documentation was structured and elaborated. It was composed by quality handbook, function handbook, industrial security handbook, technical and administrative procedures related to the Laboratory. Additionally, a brochure was designed to be its presentation to new and potential clients. Finally an internal audit was developed to verify the effectiveness of the activities done.
