dc.description.abstract	Este proyecto nace con la idea de crear un sistema que permita evitar ciertos inconvenientes que se presentan actualmente en las empresas prestadoras de servicios públicos de acueducto, alcantarillado y aseo E.S.P.D. en los municipios de la región de Santander. Teniendo en cuenta que la Superintendencia de Servicios públicos SSPD implementó el Sistema Único de Información S.U.I. para evaluar el estado de las ESPD y estas no tienen una información fiable debido a que no cuentan con hardware en buenas condiciones (el manejo del registro de la información es local provocando pérdida de información por robo u otras razones físicas). Adicionalmente existen errores en la transcripción de lecturas de los micro medidores generando inconsistencias en las facturas; de igual manera se presentan casos en los que no se cumple con los parámetros impuestos por la ley en los procesos de facturación. Como resultado de lo anterior los reportes que se envían al S.U.I. no son fiables. Este sistema controlará y evitará todos estos inconvenientes, pues la información estará disponible, protegida y actualizada para cualquier usuario que necesite consultarla; los directivos tendrán mayor control del funcionamiento de las empresas, se evitarán errores en la facturación y no habrá perdida de información por perdida o avería de los equipos; es importante tener en cuenta que en Santander la gran mayoría de municipios tienen menos de 10.000 habitantes y podrían verse beneficiados con este sistema.
dc.description.abstractenglish	The project was started with the idea of creating a system that will avoid some drawbacks that are currently present in companies providing public services of water, sewer and cleaning in the municipalities in the region of Santander. Given that the Superintendence of Domiciliary Public Services (SSPD) implemented the Single Information System (SIS) to assess the state of the ESPD but they do not have reliable information caused by the lack of a hardware in adequate condition (handling the registration of the information is local, resulting in data loss due to theft or other physical reasons), there are further errors transcription of the micro meter readings causing inconsistencies in the invoices. In the same way, there are cases in which the legal parameters are not fulfilled resulting in non- reliable reports sent to the SIS. This system will control and avoid these problems because the information is available, protected and updated for anyone who needs to consult it; therefore, managers will have more control of the operation of enterprises, avoid errors in billing and there will not be any loss of information from theft or damage equipment; It is important to note that the vast majority of Santander municipalities have less than 10,000 inhabitants and could benefit from this system.
