| dc.description.abstract | Se reporta la variación temporal del fitoplancton y su relación con las variables físicas y químicas medidas en la laguna Sabanas del páramo de Belmira, Antioquia, Colombia. En la laguna se fijó una estación (punto mas profundo) en la cual se realizó un muestreo semanal entre el 25 de febrero y 6 de mayo de 2008. En cada campaña se integró 5 litros de agua de las profundidades superficie, cincuenta centímetros y un metro de profundidad. Posteriormente, de esos 15 litros se colectaron 1200 ml de agua, (600 ml para la identificación y conteo del fitoplancton y 600 ml para estimar la clorofila). Igualmente, se tomaron 2L de agua para calcular la concentración de nutrientes. Se encontró que la laguna es polimictica, tóxica, desmineralizada y con transparencia total. En cuanto a la composición del fitoplancton esta es similar a otros lagos colombianos de alta y montaña y esta representada por algas de distribución cosmopolita. La variación de la biomasa, la estructura y la concentración de nutrientes está influenciada por la pluviosidad que ejerce un lavado hidráulico y disolución de los nutrientes, por lo que ésta variable es la principal responsable de la dinámica de la comunidad fitoplanctónica. Además, la biomasa también es controlada por la intensidad lumínica que puede estar inhibiendo la fotosíntesis y la productividad del fitoplancton en la laguna. Se hace necesarios mas estudios de estos ecosistemas para su futura conservación. | |
| dc.description.abstractenglish | This paper presents the temporal variation of phytoplankton and its relationship with physicals and chemistry measured variables in the Sabanas Lagoon, of Belmira Paramo, Antioquia, Colombia. A station was placed in the lagoon (deep max), which allowed a weekly sampling between February 25 and May 6, 2008 In each sampling 5 ml of water was collected mixing at the surface and subsurface levels (0,5 m and 1 m). Subsequently, of the 15l was collected 1200 ml of water (600ml to biomass and 600ml to count). Besides, 2 l of water were collected to nutrient analysis. Results suggest that the lagoon is polimictic, oxic, with no mineral water and with total transparency. The phytoplankton composition is similar to others Colombia high mountain lakes and are algaes with cosmopolitan distribution. Variation in the biomass, structure and the nutrient concentration was influenced by the rainfall, which acts as a hydraulic washer and dissolving nutrients, by this, the rainfall is the principal variable that influenced the phytoplankton dynamic. Furthermore, analysis demonstrated that biomass is controlled by the brightness intensity, which can be inhibiting photosynthesis and phytoplankton productivity in the Sabanas lagoon.
