dc.description.abstract	Infortunadamente nuestro planeta está presentando una fuerte crisis ambiental, con un panorama no muy alentador, si tenemos en cuenta la indiferencia y el desconocimiento de las personas ante esta problemática. Las empresas como unidades socio-económicas, tienen la responsabilidad de concienciarse de las consecuencias de su actividad en el medio ambiente, minimizando los impactos negativos que pueda generar su operación. LEED por sus siglas en ingles (leadership in energy and environmental design), es una organización de liderazgo en energía y diseño ambiental, reconocida internacionalmente por su sistema de certificación “green building”, este sistema, proporciona la verificación por terceros de que un edificio o una comunidad fue diseñada y construida a través de estrategias encaminadas a mejorar el desempeño de los indicadores ambientales más importantes. Falabella de Colombia es una empresa en crecimiento y comprometida con el medio ambiente, por eso ha decidido, iniciar a construir sus tiendas bajo este sistema. En el desarrollo de este proyecto se llevó a cabo un proceso de investigación de la norma, se efectuó un diagnostico de las tiendas actuales en Bogotá frente a los requisitos LEED y se conformo un equipo de trabajo el cual gestionará este tema en las nuevas tiendas. También en este documento se encontrará el modelo de un sistema de gestión ambiental en una tienda Falabella, basado en el mejoramiento continuo y el ciclo de Deming. Se parte de un diagnostico de la situación actual, identificación de los aspectos ambientales y requisitos legales, formulación de una política ambiental, planteamiento de objetivos, metas y programas ambientales, concientización a los colaboradores y la comunicación y el control. El sistema de gestión ambiental se implementó en las actuales tiendas de Bogotá y es útil para implementarlo en las nuevas tiendas y así cumplir con algunos prerrequisitos y créditos de LEED.
dc.description.abstractenglish	Unfortunately our planet is facing a strong environmental crisis. If we take into account the public indifference and lack of knowledge when confronted with this serious issue. Companies, as socioeconomic units, have the responsibility to be more aware and careful with the possible environmental consequences of their activities the negative impacts that their operations can generate. LEED, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, is a leader organization with an internationally recognized certification system known as the Green Building Rating System. This system is a third party certification program which rates the way a building or a community was designed and built through steps aimed to improve the most key environmental indicators. Falabella is a growing company committed to the environment, and as such, it has taken the steps to begin building its stores following this system. During the development of this project the following steps were adopted: research was conducted to examine the regulations available, a diagnostic of the current stores in Bogota took place using the LEED requirements and a work team was constituted to apply the tools during the new stores. During the development of the current document plan a model based and applying the phases of the Deming cycle. Start with a diagnostic evaluation, identifying the environmental aspects and legal requirements, formulating an environmental policy and setting forth the objectives, goals and environmental programs, educating the collaborators and communicating and controlling. The environmental management system was implemented in Hayuelos, Santafe and Suba stores, and it will be useful to implement it in the new stores and by doing so comply with some of the LEED prerequisites and credits.
