| dc.description.abstract | La presente investigación intenta establecer y analizar una imagen historiográfica de los actos homicidas ocurridos en la ciudad de Bucaramanga, para el período de 1938 al 9 de abril de 1948. Inicia en esa fecha porque entró en vigencia el nuevo Código Penal y termina el 9 de abril porque a partir de la muerte de Gaitán los delitos adquieren otro carácter. Para el propósito de este trabajo en primera medida se examina la administración de la justicia para conocer el desarrollo de los procesos judiciales y las modalidades de homicidio registradas para los hechos que llegaron a las autoridades respectivas. Como el análisis de los homicidios implica conocer las motivaciones que condujeron a su realización y los medios por los cuales se provocó la muerte, se realizó un análisis detallado de los expedientes judiciales de este delito ubicados en el Centro de Documentación Histórica Regional (CDHIR) de la Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS), para identificarlos y asimismo determinar características para establecer la conducta del individuo. Del mismo modo en ese análisis se reconocen los distintos lugares donde se consumaron los actos homicidas y características en cuanto a la ciudad. De esta manera con las características obtenidas se desea obtener un reconocimiento parcial de Bucaramanga no sólo en el tema de el homicidio y la administración de justicia, sino también en la conducta del individuo y el desarrollo de la ciudad, a partir del análisis de los actos homicidas ocurridos en el período de interés | |
| dc.description.abstractenglish | This research tries to establish and analyze a historiographical image of the homicidal acts that happened in the city of Bucaramanga from the year 1938, to 9th of April, 1948. This analysis starts on that date because it was when the new Penal Code came into force. It also finishes on the 9th of April, 1948, because from the moment of Gaitan's death, crimes acquired a new meaning. For the purpose of this work, the administration of the law is examined on first hand. This, to know the development of the judicial processes and the modalities of homicide registered for the facts that the authorities of the time knew about. Since the analysis of the homicides implies knowing the motivations that led to their accomplishment, and the weapons that provoked those deaths; judicial files located on the Regional Historical Centre of Documentation (CDHIR) at UIS, were analyzed on detail in order to identify and determine specific characteristics to establish the murderer's behaviour. In the same way, this research identifies the different places where the homicidal acts took place and their characteristics in relationship to the city. With the method described above and the characteristics got, the aim of this analysis is to obtain a partial recognition of Bucaramanga, not only in the subjects of homicide and administration of the law, but also in terms of knowing the murderer's behaviour and the development of the city.
