dc.description.abstract	Actualmente las empresas e instituciones ven la necesidad de buscar una solución para el control y seguridad de flujo de personas que desean ingresar dentro de sus instalaciones, brindándoles tranquilidad a quienes hacen parte de la comunidad. El enfoque principal de este estudio fue ver que la Universidad Industrial de Santander actualmente cuenta con un sistema de control de acceso de personal hacia sus instalaciones; es por ello que este trabajo tiene como objetivo principal estudiar el sistema actual de acceso peatonal al campus central y además este proyecto hace una revisión del estado del arte de las diferentes tecnologías de acceso existentes en otras instituciones y empresas el cual es por medio de tarjetas inteligentes y torniquetes mecánicos; partiendo de una revisión de este sistema actual, teniendo en cuenta que estas tecnologías tengan un capacidad mayor o similar al flujo de personal que accede a la Universidad Industrial De Santander, para así llegar a posibles recomendaciones para mejoras del control de acceso peatonal al campus. Resaltando el alcance y la vida útil que tenía el sistema de control de acceso al campus, fue removido en el último periodo, dejando así una gran inseguridad para la comunidad que hace uso de las instalaciones de la Universidad Industrial de Santander.
dc.description.abstractenglish	Currently companies and institutions need to seek a solution for the control and security of the flow of people who wish to enter their facilities, providing tranquility to those who are part of the community. The main focus of this study focuses on the Universidad Industrial de Santander currently has a system of control of personnel access to its facilities; It is for this reason that this work has as main objective to study the real system of pedestrian access to the central campus and in addition this project does the revision of the state of the art of the diverse technologies of access to the other institutions and companies which is by means of cards Intelligent and mechanical tourniquets; Based on a review of this current system, taking into account that these technologies have a greater capacity or similar to the flow of personnel that accesses the Universidad Industrial de Santander, in order to reach the possible recommendations for the control of access to the pedestrian campus. Highlighting the scope and useful life of the campus access control system, it was removed in the last period, leaving a great insecurity for the community that makes use of the facilities of the Universidad Industrial de Santander.
