dc.description.abstract	La actual Arquidiócesis de Pamplona, ha sido históricamente una región que se ha caracterizado por la concentración de templos y clérigos lo cual le permitió en 1835 convertirse en Diócesis y ser un referente religioso del nororiente colombiano. En 1875 con el nombramiento de Ignacio Antonio Parra comenzó una nueva etapa donde el objetivo de los líderes de la Iglesia fue el fortalecimiento de la fe ante los nuevos enemigos, el liberalismo y la modernidad.1 Una de las medidas tomadas por este obispo fue la fundación de un periódico oficial La Unidad Católica, el cual se convertiría en la voz de la diócesis mediante la cual no solo se difundirían sus doctrinas sino también se defenderían los intereses católicos. Por lo tanto, el objetivo de esta práctica fue analizar este periódico durante sus primeros años de publicación (1882-1899) y de esta manera por medio de la Descripción Archivística y adaptando la norma ISAD (G)2 elaborar un Catálogo Descriptivo que permita a los futuros investigadores acercarse de manera eficaz a la información contenida en este fondo y realizar un aporte al estudio del hecho histórico-religioso en la región.
dc.description.abstractenglish	The Diocese of San Pedro Apostol (St. Peter Apostle) in Nueva Pamplona has been historically a region characterized by the concentration of temples and clergymen, which gave way for it to become a Diocese in 1835 and be a religious reference for the Northeast Colombia. In 1875, with the nomination of Ignacio Antonio Parra, a new stage began where the objective of the Catholic Church leaders was the strengthening of faith against the new enemies, liberalism and modernity. One of the measures adopted by this bishop was the foundation of an official newspaper called La Unidad Católica (The Catholic Unity), which would develop into the voice of the Diocese and disseminate their doctrines and the defense of the Catholic interests. Therefore, the objective of this practicum was to analyze this newspaper during its first years of publication (1882-1899) and in this way, through Archival Description and ISAD regulations (G) elaborate a Descriptive Catalog that permits future researchers come closer in an efficient manner to the contained information in this base and provide a contribution to the study of the historic-religious incident in the region.
