dc.description.abstract	El saxofón contralto es uno de los instrumentos que a través de la historia ha mostrado su gran versatilidad y riqueza sonora incursionando en todo tipo de género musical, desde lo erudito hasta lo popular. Este trabajo de grado busca enmarcar esa capacidad sonora que emite este instrumento siendo uno de los más destacados en la concepción de la música popular latina, por medio de la orquestación a 5 temas emblemáticos del contexto popular latinoamericano en donde la variación y la modificación de sus ritmos serán claves para constituir nuevas atmósferas y propuestas sonoras que permitan enriquecer la biblioteca mundial del repertorio solista correspondiente al saxofón contralto. Trece músicos en escena serán los encargados de dar vida a estas propuestas orquestales realizadas por el solista, ya que el trasfondo de este trabajo de grado es evidenciar la realización de los arreglos, en su montaje y en su interpretación, dar a conocer las capacidades académico-musicales integras con las cuales egresa el futuro licenciado en música de la Universidad Industrial de Santander, permitiéndole crear, proponer y generar nuevos espacios musicales en donde hace implícita nuestra música latina y en especial nuestra música colombiana, permitiendo abarcar nuevos contextos musicales para hacerla trascender en nuevas culturas y promoverla por el mundo entero .
dc.description.abstractenglish	The alto saxophone is one of the instruments through history has shown its versatility and richness of sound dabbling in all kinds of musical genre, from the erudite to the popular. This degree work seeks to frame the sound level capacity emitted by this instrument, it is one of the most highlights in the design of Latin popular music, through the orchestration of 5 emblematic songs in the context popular Latin American where the variation and modification of its rhythms will be key to build new atmospheres and sound proposals to enrich the global library for the alto saxophone solo repertoire. Thirteen musicians on stage will be responsible for giving life to these orchestral proposals made by the soloist, as the undertone of this degree work is to show the realization of the music arrangements, assembly and interpretation, to publicize the academic skills -musicales of integrity with which the future graduates degree in music from the Industrial University of Santander, allowing you to create, propose and generate new musical spaces where it is implicit in our Latin music and especially our Colombian music, prompting cover new musical contexts to make it transcend in new cultures and promote throughout the world
