dc.description.abstract	En el presente trabajo de investigación se analizó la relación existente entre los niveles de inversión en infraestructura vial con la competitividad y el desarrollo de los sectores productivos en general. Se realizó un recorrido evolutivo de las teorías del crecimiento y el desarrollo económico a fin de verificar la relación entre la inversión en infraestructura vial, representada en términos del capital invertido y en el aumento en el stock del capital de la economía. Se hizo un recorrido por los elementos determinantes de los niveles de crecimiento y desarrollo como lo son, cantidades de inversión extranjera, inversión en infraestructura vial por vía de las concesiones, tecnología, entre otros, permitiendo describir algunas razones, normalmente aceptadas respecto del por qué la especialización en bienes primarios como el sector agrícola y minero, aunque ésta no es la vía sustentable para el desarrollo y crecimiento integral y sostenible de la economía. Igualmente se realizó una comparación entre economías latinoamericanas en donde se llevaron a cabo grandes inversiones en infraestructura vial, demostrando un efecto positivo mayor en el Producto Interno Bruto - PIB, que en aquellas economías con inversiones mejores e inversiones en infraestructura vial. El desarrollo de los sectores productivos se evidenció por el aumento en el PIB y por el aumento en el parque automotor de transporte de carga; lógicamente necesario para comercializar un mayor volumen de bienes producidos en todos los sectores de la economía y así lograr un mayor volumen de bienes producidos en todos los sectores de la economía.
dc.description.abstractenglish	In the present work of investigation, it pretends to demonstrate the notorious directly proportional relation that exists of practical and theoretical form between the levels of investment in road infrastructure and the development of the productive sectors in general. An evolutionary journey was made of the theories of growth and economic development, which, although not exhaustively, demonstrate the relationship between investment in road infrastructure, represented in terms of capital invested and the increase in the stock of capital of the economy thanks to the cumulative characteristic of this type of investments. A tour of the determining elements of the levels of growth and development such as, amounts of foreign investment, investment in road infrastructure through concessions, education, technology was made. Some normally accepted reasons for why specialization in primary, agricultural and mining goods a sustainable route for the growth and sustainable development of an economy can not be were also described. A comparison was made between Latin American economies where large investments were made in road infrastructure, demonstrating a greater positive effect on the Gross Domestic Product - GDP, than in those economies with better investments and investments in road infrastructure. The development of the productive sectors was evidenced by the increase in the GDP and by the increase in the automotive fleet of cargo transportation; logically necessary to tranzar a greater volume of goods produced in all sectors of the economy to tranzar a greater volume of goods produced in all sectors of the economy.
