dc.description.abstract	A pesar de la crisis económica que actualmente atraviesa el país, para muchos es bien sabido que desde hace varios años el sector de la construcción experimenta un constante crecimiento [2]. La empresa Alexis Vega Ingenieros S.A.S. contribuye al desarrollo de este sector trabajando, entre otras actividades, en el diseño estructural de hospitales, industrias e importantes proyectos residenciales en la ciudad de Bucaramanga y en todo el país en general. Se realizó la práctica empresarial en la empresa Alexis Vega Ingenieros S.A.S. en el área de diseño estructural diseñando y haciendo el despiece de elementos secundarios de concreto armado como viguetas, losas y escaleras. Además de las actividades de diseño, durante la práctica también se realizaron actividades concernientes a la revisión de calidad de los elementos estructurales diseñados por los ingenieros de la empresa con el objetivo de asegurar que estos diseños, además de cumplir con las expectativas y necesidades del cliente, cumpliera con todos los requerimientos de las normativas de diseño estructural sismo resistente actualmente vigentes en nuestro país. Para finalizar su participación en cada proyecto, el practicante contribuyó también en el desarrollo de detalles y cortes, y fue el encargado de la conformación de los planos estructurales en los cuales organizó en cada caso todos los diseños realizados por el equipo de trabajo de la empresa, además de que colaboró en la generación de reportes y tablas para la conformación de las memorias de calculo que deben entregarse junto con los diseños
