dc.description.abstract	Este estudio se desarrolló con el propósito de analizar el comportamiento de taludes y presas de tierra ante eventos en los cuales varíe los niveles de saturación mediante lluvias importantes o crecidas en ríos. En el proyecto seprofundizo enalgunos software libres, especializados en estabilidad de taludes comparando sus resultados en los factores de seguridad y la similitud de sus análisis, por los distintos métodos que contienen; finalmente con esto poder definir un software de trabajo para los casos a analizar. En nuestro país es muy importante este tipo de estudios debido a que se presentan muchos problemas de deslizamientos por la topografía accidentada y la gran variación del clima enlasépocas del año. Seanalizarán algunas característicascomo el tipo de suelo, geometría, topografía, clima e hidrología, sismicidad entre otros; que inciden en la estabilidad. En el proyectoinicialmente se presenta un marco teórico evaluando los principales factores que pueden causar la falla en el talud, posteriormentese estudiaran dos casos de la realidad, analizados mediante software, hallando los factores de seguridad en los que se encuentran actualmente, variando sus condiciones de saturación y propiedades físico-mecánicas. Este análisis servirá como soporte de estudio en la Universidad Industrial de Santander para investigaciones futuras sobre este tema.
dc.description.abstractenglish	This study was developed in order to analyze the behavior of slopes and earth dams before events can cause varies in the levels of saturation as a consecuence of important rains or swellings in rivers. In the project was deepened in some free software, specialized in stability of slopes comparing its results in the safety factors and the similarity of its analyses, by the different methods that contains. Finally with this be able to define a working software for the cases to analyze. In our country it is very important east type of studies because many problems of slidings by the injured topography and the great variation of the climate at different times of the year appear. Some characteristics will be analyzed as the type of ground, geometry, topography, climate and hydrology, seismicity among others; that affect the stability. Initially at the project appears a theoretical frame evaluating the main factors that can cause the fault in the slope, later is a study of two real cases, analyzed by a software, finding the factors of safety in which they are at the moment, varying its physicomechanical conditions of saturation and properties. This analysis will serve as studying support in the Industrial University of Santander for future investigations on this subject.
