dc.description.abstract	La Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) dentro de su organización interna cuenta con un Sistema de Gestión Ambiental (SGA) que enmarca todos los aspectos administrativos en el tema, se compone del Plan de Gestión Integral de Residuos (PGIR), Uso Racional del Agua, Uso Racional de la energía, Fauna y Flora, Calidad de aire y control de ruido, y cultura ambiental. El proyecto de práctica Social fue liderado por la estudiante de Trabajo Social, a su vez orientada por los profesores y profesionales a cargo de esta función, dicho proyecto estuvo encaminado a promover prácticas amigables con el medio ambiente dentro de los lineamientos ambientales ya existentes en el SGA, se realizaron campañas, actividades lúdico-formativas, premiaciones, entre otras. Sin embargo se identificaron falencias en las conductas de la comunidad universitaria respecto al medio ambiente, es por ello que se realizó el informe con la propuesta final de incluir en requisito para graduación, dirigida a todos los estudiantes de pregrado de la UIS, la propuesta de la mencionada cátedra está determinada por el enfoque de Desarrollo Sostenible y tiene como objetivo permitir al educando alcanzar conductas amigables con el medio ambiente desde su perfil profesional.
dc.description.abstractenglish	The Industrial University of Santander (UIS) within its internal organization has an Environmental Management System (EMS) that frames all the administrative aspects in the subject, consists of the Integral Waste Management Plan (PGIR), Rational Use of Water, Rational Use of Energy, Fauna and Flora, Air Quality and Noise Control, and Environmental Culture. The social practice project was led by the student of Social Work, in turn guided by the professors and professionals in charge of this function, this project was aimed at promoting environmentally friendly practices within the existing environmental guidelines in the SGA, campaigns, recreational-training activities, prizes, among others. However, failures were identified in the behavior of the university community regarding the environment, that is why the report was made with the final proposal to include in the curriculum of the University a chair for "Education in Environmental Sustainability" requirement for graduation , Aimed at all undergraduate students of the UIS, the proposal of the aforementioned chair is determined by the Sustainable Development approach and aims to enable the student to achieve environmentally friendly behaviors from their professional profile.
