dc.description.abstract	La presente investigación consistió primeramente en un estudio de la caracterización del área metropolitana de Bucaramanga (AMB), en el cual se hace énfasis en las zonas de falla geológica de la ciudad, (en las que podemos encontrar las dos principales fallas las cuales son la falla Bucaramanga- Santa Marta y la falla del Suarez), en las condiciones litológicas y en la zonificación sísmica; seguidamente se describe la ubicación y características del lote ubicado entre el barrio Dangond y el barrio El Porvenir , esto apoyado en la zonificación sismo geotécnica indicativa del área metropolitana de Bucaramanga realizado por el Ingeominas, para luego hacer un análisis comparativo de dos métodos de prospección: los ensayos de SPT y los ensayos geo eléctricos, por medio de las tomografías eléctricas, para lo cual es vital tener un conocimiento previo de la funcionalidad de la resistividad eléctrica en el suelo y como ésta se puede propagar en él, además de los factores que la puedan afectar, también es de gran importancia estar familiarizado con las diversas configuraciones a la hora de colocar los electrodos y su real alcance. Para nuestro caso utilizaremos las configuraciones Wenner y dipolo-dipolo. Posteriormente sacaremos conclusiones de la correlación realizada en la investigación.
dc.description.abstractenglish	This research was primarily on a study of the characterization of metropolitan Bucaramanga (AMB), in which the emphasis is in the areas of geological fault of town ( where we can find the two main faults which are the Santa Marta Bucaramanga fault and failure Suarez ) in the geological characteristics and seismic zoning ; SPT tests and electrical geo trials , through electrical tomography for : then the location and characteristics of the lot located between the neighborhood and the neighborhood Dangond El Porvenir , this supported in geotechnical earthquake zoning indicative of the metropolitan area of Bucaramanga by the Ingeominas, then make a comparative analysis of two prospecting methods described which is vital to have prior knowledge of the functionality of the electrical resistivity in the soil and how it can be spread on it, and the factors that may affect , is also very important to be familiar with the various settings when placing the electrodes and its real scope . For our case we use the Wenner and dipole- dipole configurations. Later we will draw conclusions from the correlation performed in research.
