dc.description.abstract	En el presente trabajo se analizan las inversiones en infraestructura a nivel nacional con el fin de establecer relaciones con el desempeño económico nacional. Los datos utilizados provienen principalmente del Plan Plurianual de inversiones contenido en el Plan Nacional de Desarrollo 2010-2014. En el primer capítulo se presentan las características y aspectos generales que dieron origen a la presente investigación. En el segundo se hace una revisión teórica sobre el concepto de infraestructura, seguidamente se muestras las diferentes teorías que relacionan las inversiones y disponibilidad de la infraestructura con la actividad económica. En el tercer capítulo se describen las generalidades y la situación de la infraestructura Colombiana a través de indicadores económicos y se muestran los organismos que permiten la planeación, ejecución y evaluación los diferentes proyectos de infraestructura. Seguidamente se describen las principales inversiones detallando los montos y su procedencia. Finalmente en Cuarto se proponen las diferentes relaciones de las inversiones de infraestructura con algunas variables macroeconómicas y su concentración. Como conclusiones se establece que La infraestructura y el crecimiento económico guardan una estrecha relación. Las inversiones en infraestructura tienen a focalizarse en la región andina, donde se encuentra la mayor concentración de actividad económica del país. Por último se consolidó un sistema de información que contiene todos los proyectos de inversión en infraestructura nacional como soporte a futuros trabajos sobre dicho sector.
dc.description.abstractenglish	The thesis presents an analysis about the inversions on infrastructure within the nation to establish the relationships with the national economic development. The information used comes from the -2014. The first chapter presents all the characteristics and general aspects that originated the present investigation. The second chapter does a theoretical review about the infrastructure concept, and then it shows all the different theories that related the investment and infrastructure availability with the economic activity. The third chapter described all the generality and the situation about the infrastructure in Colombia through economic indicators and shows the agencies that allow the planning, execution and evaluation of different infrastructure projects. Then it describes the principal investments, detailing the amount and origin. As a conclusion, was set that infrastructure and and economic growth have a closely relationship. The investments on infrastructure have to focus in the Andean region, where it finds the biggest concentration of economic activity in the country. Finally was consolidated an information system as a support of future investigations about the sector.
