| dc.description.abstract | La propuesta de renovación curricular, trata de responder a un entorno regional, nacional e internacional cambiante, que hace necesario avanzar en la fundamentación e implementación de estrategias y metodologías de la Educación Médica, que permitan mejorar esta formación en la Universidad Industrial de Santander y continuar a la vanguardia de las escuelas de medicina en el país, adaptándonos a los cambios que se deben tener en cuenta y cuidando que estos garanticen verdaderamente la búsqueda de la excelencia de nuestros egresados. Se definen ciertos aspectos fundamentales que dan sentido y orientación al proceso de transformación marcando un gran paso hacia el cambio. Son ellos: la pertinencia, la flexibilidad y la apertura, la interdisciplinariedad y una nueva visión epistemológica del proceso de aprendizaje. En una propuesta curricular se deben hacer todos los esfuerzos para que los estudiantes de la escuela adquieran conocimientos a la luz del desarrollo de la ciencia y la tecnología, sin perder la noción de la “medicina” que además de estar considerada como una ciencia, tiene un gran componente de arte. El plan curricular debe ofrecer al estudiante la oportunidad de adquirir los conocimientos necesarios para el ejercicio de la profesión médica en Colombia de acuerdo con las necesidades éticas, sociales, culturales y legales de salud, en nuestro país. Debemos educar médicos con un alto nivel académico, capaces de adaptarse a los cambios, con mente abierta a ideas y desarrollo, con la actitud del aprendizaje y con una disciplina en la educación continua a través de su vida profesional. Este proyecto tiene como objetivo fortalecer aspectos como la flexibilidad a lo largo del plan de estudios, asegurando unos contenidos básicos para todos los estudiantes, pero permitiendo el desarrollo de talentos, capacidades preferencias y actitudes de acuerdo con las diferentes oportunidades profesionales que ofrece la medicina moderna. | |
| dc.description.abstractenglish | A curricular renovation has been proposed as a response to recent changes in the regional, national, as well as, in the international educational environments. These changes make it necessary to advance in the implementation of strategies and methods for Medical Education, which will allow the educators a great improvement in the students´ formation at the “Universidad Industrial de Santander “(UIS). Therefore, for the UIS to continue at the top of the Country’s medical Schools should be adapted to these changes, guaranteeing the excellence of the undergraduate students. This proposal is based upon certain aspects which will lead to the process of transformation. These aspects should include: ownership, flexibility, openness, interdisciplinary and a new epistemological vision. Although medical students must acquire knowledge, in light of the new science and technology progress, they should never forget that Medicine is also an art. The proposed plan must offer these students the opportunity to practice the medical profession according to the ethical, social and cultural needs of our Country. Physicians must be educated at a higher level of academic abilities in order for them to adapt to these changes with open mind and a positive attitude towards new ideas. They also should keep in mind that they have to continue their education and discipline throughout their lifetime. Through this plan, students are allowed to develop their personal talents and abilities towards modern medicine. | |
