dc.description.abstract	Esta práctica social, desarrollada dentro de la Corporación Compromiso y específicamente en su Observatorio de Paz y DDHH, tuvo como objetivo central sistematizar desde un enfoque analítico los hechos concernientes al fenómeno de la violencia en Santander durante el año 2024, mediante el uso de medios de comunicación de carácter regional y nacional, en compañía de la consulta de las fuentes humanas en territorio en contraste y complemento con lo reportado en el Sistema de Monitoreo gestionado por la JEP de manera virtual. Lo anterior en función de consolidar al Observatorio como herramienta central en los procesos de acompañamiento a población líder defensora del territorio en el departamento. Con base en análisis y registro de lo reportado por las fuentes mencionadas, se construyeron tres boletines trimestrales y un boletín anual, además del presente informe, centrados todos en el análisis cuantitativo y cualitativo al comportamiento de la violencia política y la violencia económico social (violencia criminal) en el departamento y su evolución durante el año 2024 en contraste con los registros recientes del Observatorio (2022 – 2023).
dc.description.abstractenglish	This social practice, aligned with the objectives of Corporación Compromiso and specifically its Peace and Human Rights Observatory, aimed to systematically analyze incidents related to violence in Santander during 2024. The methodology incorporated regional and national media sources, alongside direct consultations with on-the-territory human sources, cross-referenced and supplemented by data from the virtual monitoring system managed by the JEP (Special Jurisdiction for Peace). This approach sought to strengthen the Observatory’s role as a key tool in supporting territorial defense leaders in the department. Based on the analysis and documentation of these sources, three quarterly reports and one annual bulletin were produced, in addition to this final report. These publications focused on quantitative and qualitative assessments of political violence and socioeconomic (criminal) violence in the region, tracking its evolution throughout 2024 in contrast with the Observatory’s recent records (2022–2023).
