| dc.description.abstract | El objetivo de este proyecto fue la creación de un programa software de uso propio de la Escuela de Ingeniería de Sistemas e Informática (EISI), del grupo de investigación en comunicación educativa (GEMA) y de la Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS), para la administración de la información geográfica contenida en mapas digitales. Para obtener los resultados esperados con este proyecto, se estudiaron diferentes formatos de representación de mapas digitales, y se seleccionaron los más comunes, o los que más aplicaciones futuras pueden tener. Para futuras actualizaciones de este programa, se recomienda la inclusión de las rutinas de manejo de nuevos formatos de mapas digitales. El programa obtenido permite visualizar, editar y crear mapas digitales que cumplan con el formato Shapefile o con el formato PostGIS, y administrar la información alfanumérica asociada con ellos. La metodología aplicada para el desarrollo de este proyecto fue el Modelo de Programación Extrema, mediante el cual se divide el programa completo en pequeñas versiones y se trabaja para alcanzar los objetivos planteados en cada versión, sin pensar en las siguientes, con esto, el desarrollo del software se realiza de forma más simple y rápida. | |
| dc.description.abstractenglish | The objective of this project was the creation of a software program for the use of the Systems Engineering and Computer Science School, the investigation group in educational communication and the Industrial University of Santander, for the administration of the geographic information contained in digital maps. To obtain the expected results with this project, different formats of representation of digital maps were studied, and the more common were selected, or those that more future applications may have. For future upgrades on this program, the inclusion of the handling routines of new digital maps formats is recommended. The obtained program allows to visualize, to edit and to create digital maps that fulfill the Shapefile format or the PostGIS format, and to administer the alphanumeric information associated with them. The applied methodology for the development of this project was the Model of Extreme Programming, by means of which the complete program is divided in small versions and the work is applied to reach the objectives outlined in each version, without thinking on the following ones, with that, the development of the software is carried out in a simpler and quicker way | |
