dc.description.abstract	El siguiente artículo presenta un estudio del estado del arte del Transporte Público Colectivo (TPC) en el Área Metropolitana de Bucaramanga (AMB). A partir de este ejercicio se describe los antecedentes y procesos del transporte urbano representado en dos líneas de tiempo que permiten identificar cuáles han sido los cambios y factores que incidieron en el desarrollo del transporte público antes y después de la implementación del Sistema Integrado de Transporte Masivo (SITM) Metrolínea. Así mismo expone las fallas y la demanda del transporte convencional y del SITM con los principales problemas que actualmente tiene la movilidad de la ciudad. Por otro lado, el documento presenta una comparación con la Red Integrada de transporte (RIT) de Curitiba en Brasil, ya que éste, se ha destacado por ser una de las primeras ciudades en aplicar métodos diferentes que han funcionado para mantener en orden la movilidad de la ciudad basándose en priorizar el uso peatonal y el transporte colectivo. El resultado de esta investigación es la elaboración de unas recomendaciones cuyo objetivo es sugerir de qué manera se puede mejorar la forma como se movilizan los ciudadanos y exponer una guía que motive a emplear el servicio del Transporte público colectivo en Bucaramanga y su Área Metropolitana
dc.description.abstractenglish	The following article presents a study of the state of the art of Collective Public Transport (CPT) in the Metropolitan Area of Bucaramanga (MAB). From this exercise, the antecedents and processes of urban transport are described represented in two timelines that allow identifying the changes and factors that influenced the development of public transport before and after the implementation of the Integrated Mass Transportation System. (IMTS) Metrolínea. In addition, it exposes the failures and the demand of both conventional transport and IMTS with the main problems that the mobility of the city currently has. On the other hand, the document presents a comparison with the Integrated Transport Network (ITN) of Curitiba in Brazil, since it has stood out for being one of the first cities to apply different methods that have worked to keep mobility in order based on prioritizing pedestrian use and public transportation. The result of this research is the elaboration of some recommendations whose objective is to suggest in what way the citizens mobilization in public transport can be improved and to present a guide that motivates the use of the collective public transport service in Bucaramanga and its Metropolitan Area
