dc.description.abstract	El objetivo de este trabajo es realizar un estudio descriptivo y analítico del sector educativo en el Área Metropolitana de Bucaramanga y su impacto, si el Área Metropolitana se convierte en un distrito. Sé analizará y proyectará la cobertura educativa, la relación administrativos que laboran en la secretaría central de educación, frente al total de la población matriculada en el sector oficial y la eficiencia operativa en la utilización del personal administrativo, si solo existiera una sola secretaría de educación. Por otro lado, se examinará el gasto total en el sector educativo, el gasto total en el sector educativo por estudiante matriculado en el sector oficial, el gasto central de las secretarías de educación, el gasto central de las secretarías de educación por estudiante matriculado en el sector oficial y el gasto del personal docente y administrativo de los municipios del Área Metropolitana de Bucaramanga. Se estudiará el impacto de los gastos totales en el sector educativo y el gasto central en la secretaría de educación, si hubiese existido el Distrito Metropolitano de Bucaramanga. También se estudiará las fuentes de financiación del sector educativo, donde se centrará la atención en la financiación con recursos propios totales que los municipios del Área Metropolitana de Bucaramanga invierten en el sector educativo y el financiamiento con recursos propios por estudiante matriculado en el sector oficial. Además se examinará el impacto del gasto con recursos propios si hubiese existido el Distrito Metropolitano de Bucaramanga.
dc.description.abstractenglish	The aim of this paper is to provide a descriptive and analytical study of the education sector in the metropolitan area of Bucaramanga and its impact, if the metropolitan area becomes a district. I will analyze and projected educational coverage, the ratio of administrative work in the central secretariat of education, compared to the total population enrolled in the formal sector and operational efficiency in the use of administrative staff, if only there were a single education secretariat. On the other hand, consider the total spending in the education sector, total spending in education per student enrolled in the formal sector, the expenditure of the central secretariats of education, the expenditure of the central secretariats of education per student enrolled in the official sector and the spending of teaching and administrative staff of the municipalities of the Metropolitan Area of Bucaramanga. Will examine the impact of total expenditures in the education sector and spending at the central secretariat of education, if it had existed the Metropolitan District of Bucaramanga.
