dc.description.abstract	El rápido crecimiento y desarrollo del Grupo de Investigación Campos Maduros, adscrito a la Escuela de Ingeniería de Petróleos de la Universidad Industrial de Santander hace necesaria la construcción de un portal web que además de dar a conocer el grupo y su trabajo investigativo a nivel global, brinde a sus miembros herramientas para su interacción y colaboración. Se plantea entonces el presente proyecto como solución a esta demanda. El sitio web cuenta con utilidades como sistema de envío de mensajes entre los miembros, foro de discusión, encuestas, noticias, carga y descarga de archivos, las cuales son fundamentales para el trabajo en equipo y facilitan las labores diarias del grupo. Se destaca la utilización de un Sistema de Gestión de Contenidos (CMS, por sus siglas en ingles) como marco de trabajo para el desarrollo del portal, facilitando así no solo el desarrollo, sino también Œy quizá lo más importante, la administración general, la actualización, generación y organización de contenido por parte de los usuarios finales, es decir el Grupo de Investigación. El CMS elegido es Joomla! versión 1.5 una solución de código abierto desarrollada por Open Source Matters, Inc. bajo licencia GPL; es multiplataforma y uno de los más utilizados actualmente en la construcción de sitios web.
dc.description.abstractenglish	The fast growing and development of the Mature Oilfields Research Group, subscribed to the Petroleum Engineering School of Universidad Industrial de Santander, makes necessary the creation of a portal website that, besides allowing people to know the group and its work in a worldwide level, offer tools of interaction and cooperation to its members. Therefore, this project is presented as an answer to cover that demand. The web site counts with uses like messaging system among the members, discussion forum, surveys, news, upload and download of files. These uses are fundamental for the team work and facilitate the daily tasks of the group. One outstanding feature is the use of a Content Management System (CMS, by its acronym in English) as the framework for the development of the portal website, which facilitates not only its development, but also Œ and perhaps which appears as the most important advantage - the general management, the updating process, and the generation and organization of the content by the final users: the Research Group. The CMS elected is Joomla! Version 1.5, an open-source solution developed by Open Source Matters, Inc. under GPL license; is multiplataforma, and one of the most currently used in the construction of websites.
