dc.description.abstract	En este estudio se identifican puntos con alta accidentalidad en un tramo específico de la malla vial del área metropolitana de Bucaramanga empleando el método de Bayes. A través de una modelación estadística implementada en RStudio, se identifican y analizan estos puntos con mayores índices de siniestralidad. Los resultados obtenidos mostraron que puntos de la malla vial como las intersecciones y desvíos presentan las mayores concentraciones de accidentes y que factores viales vulnerables como peatones y motociclistas son los más afectados. Estos resultados facilitan una mejor comprensión de los factores de riesgo y ofrecen una herramienta para la toma de decisiones en la gestión de la seguridad vial, contribuyendo así a la reducción de accidentes en la zona de estudio.
dc.description.abstractenglish	In this study, high-accident locations were identified within a specific segment of the road network in the metropolitan area of Bucaramanga using the Bayesian method. Through statistical modeling implemented in RStudio, these highrisk sites were identified and analyzed for their accident rates. The results revealed that intersections and road deviations exhibit the highest concentrations of accidents, with vulnerable road users such as pedestrians and motorcyclists being the most affected. These findings provide a deeper understanding of risk factors and serve as a decision-making tool for road safety management, thereby contributing to accident reduction in the study area.
