dc.description.abstract	La región del magdalena medio, esta ubicada en el corazón de Colombia y tiene como principal característica su riqueza natural, hídrica y su posición estratégica, que la proyectan como un potencial polo de desarrollo para los municipios que tienen influencia en ella. A continuación se presentan dos documentos estadísticos, que busca explorar la situación real del Magdalena Medio y posibilitar a sus pobladores y pobladoras, la toma de decisiones que busquen la mejora en su calidad de Vida. El primer documento es un Anuario Estadístico desde 1996, hasta el 2007, en el que se podrán consultar cifras de población, vivienda y servicios públicos, finanzas públicas, y actividad económica, tanto municipales como departamentales. El segundo documento es un Atlas Económico del Magdalena Medio para el 2005, el cual tiene como principal objetivo democratizar la información facilitando su acceso a través de un dispositivo técnico que permita a los pobladores y pobladoras de la región, investigadores y funcionarios tomar dediciones y evaluar la situación del Magdalena Medio. Dicho análisis muestra un ejercicio principalmente estadístico y descriptivo de cada uno de los treinta municipios que hacen parte del Programa de Desarrollo y Paz del Magdalena Medio y son centro de investigación por parte del Observatorio de Paz Integral.
dc.description.abstractenglish	The region of Magdalena Means, this located in the heart of Colombia and has like main characteristic its natural, hydric wealth and its strategic position, that they project it like a potential pole of development for the municipalities that have influence in her. Next two statistical documents appear, that it looks for to explore the real situation of the Average Magdalena and to make possible to his settlers and settlers, the decision making that looks for the improvement in their quality of Life. The first document is a Statistical Yearbook from 1996, to the 2007, in that numbers of population, house and services will be able to be consulted public, public finances, and economic activity, as much policemen as departmental. The second document is an Economic Atlas of the Average Magdalena for the 2005, who must like main objective democratize the information facilitating his access through a technical device that allows to the settlers and settlers of the region, investigators and civil employees to take decisions and to evaluate the situation of the Average Magdalena. This analysis shows a mainly statistical and descriptive exercise of each one of the thirty municipalities that are part of the Program of Development and Peace of the Average Magdalena and are research center on the part of the Observatory of Integral Peace.
