| dc.description.abstract | Curití. La presente investigación describe los principales aspectos referentes a la estratigrafía y la tectónica del sector Nordeste de Curití, el cual está ubicado en la Cordillera Oriental de los Andes Colombianos con un cubrimiento superficial de 170km2 en el Departamento de Santander. En el área afloran rocas metamórficas de bajo grado, consideradas de edad Ordovicico - Silurico, constituidas por esquistos micáceos incluidas en la Formación Silgará. Rocas ígneas de edad Jurásica constituidas por granitos e incluidas en el Granito de Pescadero. Las rocas sedimentarias constituyen el mayor dominio litológico del área; estas rocas tienen edades que van desde el Cretácico Inferior hasta el Cuaternario y están representadas por las formaciones Los Santos, Cumbre, Rosablanca, Paja, Tablazo y Simití; el Cuaternario en su mayor extensión lo conforman depósitos aluviales. La zona se encuentra afectada por estilos estructurales con características geométricas y cinemáticas particulares, fallas principales con dirección NE, fallas secundarias con dirección NE y EO y fallas menores con dirección NO. Mediante la integración y análisis de datos obtenidos en trabajos geológicos de campo, se identificaron cuatro grandes bloques tectónicos. Mediante esta investigación se contribuye al conocimiento estratigráfico y tectónico de la región, el cual servirá como base para posteriores estudios de exploración geológica. A través de este trabajo de investigación se hace un aporte a al desarrollo de la cartografía geológica del país, ya que se cuenta con muy poco desarrollo en este ámbito. | |
| dc.description.abstractenglish | The present investigation describes the main aspects realted to the stratigraphy and tectonic geology of the sector of Curití, witch is located on the Cordillera Oriental of the Colombian Andes, covering 170 km2 in the Santander department. In the area, low degree metamorphic rocks exposed, composed of esquistos micaceos. They are considered to be of Ordovician-Siluric age Formation Silgara. The igneous rocks are Jurássic age represented by Granitos. They are considered in the Granito of Pescadero. The main rocks in the area are of sedimentary origin, ranging from Cretácico Inferior to Cuaternary, and are represented by the formations of Los Santos, Cumbre, Rosablanca, Paja, Tablazo and Simiti. Quaternario consists of extensive alluvial deposits. The zone is affected by structural styles with geometrics features and cinematics particulars, principals faults with direction NE, secondaries faults with direction NE and EW and minors faults with direction NW. Through the integration and analysis of obtained data from the area previous geological works are identified four large tectonic blocks. Through this investigation it contributes to knowledge estratigraphic and tectonic of the region, which will serve as a basis for further studies of geological exploration.
