dc.description.abstract	El estrés financiero es una problemática creciente, influenciada principalmente por la falta de educación financiera y la inestabilidad económica. Este tipo de estrés se manifiesta como una sensación de angustia y preocupación ante la incapacidad de cubrir necesidades básicas y obligaciones económicas. Además, está asociado con problemas de salud física y mental, afectando la autoestima y la productividad. Dada la importancia del tema, se propone un estudio para analizar la relación entre el estrés financiero y el bienestar de los estudiantes de Ingeniería Industrial de la Universidad Industrial de Santander, específicamente aquellos que cursan entre el quinto y décimo semestre. Esto se debe a que, a partir del quinto semestre, la carrera incluye asignaturas relacionadas con la educación financiera. Para la investigación se aplicó una encuesta a 253 estudiantes matriculados durante el periodo 2025-1. El instrumento constaba de siete secciones, con un total de 57 preguntas enfocadas en seis dimensiones: Comportamiento financiero, pensamientos y emociones relacionadas con la situación financiera, estrés financiero, respuestas conductuales relacionales y fisiológicas.
dc.description.abstractenglish	Financial stress is a growing problem, primarily influenced by a lack of financial education and economic instability. This type of stress manifests as a feeling of anguish and worry about the inability to cover basic needs and financial obligations. Furthermore, it is associated with physical and mental health problems, affecting self-esteem and productivity. Given the importance of the topic, a study is proposed to analyze the relationship between financial stress and the well-being of Industrial Engineering students at the Industrial University of Santander, specifically those enrolled between the fifth and tenth semesters. This is because, starting in the fifth semester, the program includes courses related to financial education. For the research, a survey was administered to 253 students enrolled during the 2025-2021 period. The instrument consisted of seven sections, with a total of 57 questions focused on six dimensions: financial behavior, thoughts and emotions related to the financial situation, financial stress, and relational and physiological behavioral responses. Finally, to analyze the data obtained, an exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis was conducted to correlate each of the aforementioned variables and explain the students' financial well-being.
