| dc.description.abstract | La Universidad Industrial de Santander cuenta actualmente con un centro de datos dotado de diversos dispositivos de red que ofrecen un conjunto de herramientas a los estudiantes y área administrativa, además es la parte más importante, por que a través de este permite la integración de todos los dispositivos de red para prestar los servicios relacionados con las telecomunicaciones. El objetivo principal de este proyecto es incrementar el aprovechamiento de los recursos tecnológicos que ofrece el centro de datos de la Universidad, mediante un diagnostico para verificar como se encuentran los niveles de seguridad física, telecomunicaciones, arquitectónico, eléctrico y mecánico. Para el desarrollo de esta práctica se realizaron varias entrevistas, visitas y se tomaron unas fotos a los equipos del centro de datos, y se consulto a los expertos en redes de datos, cableado estructurado, electromecánica, electricistas, e ingenieros de sistemas, Entre los resultados más importantes se encontraron que el centro de datos es el responsable de configuración de servidores, configuración de dispositivos y la gestión de la red, y a través del tiempo ha venido evolucionando a la par con las nuevas tecnologías de la informática en la parte de seguridad también cumple con los requerimientos necesarios para un centro de datos seguro. | |
| dc.description.abstractenglish | Nowadays, the Industrial University of Santander has a data centre with diverse net devices that offer a set of tools for students and the administrative area; also, it is the most important part because this lets the integration of the entire net devices to offer the services related to telecommunications. The main objective of this project is to increase the use of the technological resources that offer the data centre of the University, by means of diagnosis to verify the levels of physical security, telecommunications, architecture, electrics and mechanics. For the development of this practice it was carried out several interviews, visits and some photos of the data centre equipments were taken. It was asked the experts in data nets, structured wires, electricmechanics, electricians and system engineers. In the most important results, it was found that the data centre is the responsible of configuration of servers, configuration of devices and the net management; and trough time it has evolved with new technologies of informatics in the security field. Also this fulfills with the requirements needed for a safe data centre. | |
