dc.description.abstract	Este trabajo presenta los resultados de una investigación sobre la implementación de una estrategia basada en la resolución de problemas que permitió facilitar el desarrollo de competencias científicas en los estudiantes de grado décimo para promover el aprendizaje significativo. Se tuvo en cuenta el análisis de las pruebas Saber, en las cuales se evidenció que hay dificultad de los estudiantes; luego se realizó una prueba diagnóstica y se identificaron las debilidades en la enseñanza de la química para el desarrollo de estas competencias. De acuerdo con lo anterior, se realizó el diseño y la intervención de la estrategia didáctica en el grupo, la cual consta de ocho sesiones de dos horas cada una, con el objetivo de analizar el proceso que se llevó a cabo cuando los estudiantes se enfrentaron a un problema relacionado con las leyes de los gases y lo solucionaron con los conceptos del área de química con la orientación de la docente, para lograr que se aproximen al conocimiento científico. De igual manera, por ser una investigación acción, se realizó el análisis de la información al finalizar cada sesión para reflexionar sobre la práctica pedagógica y hacer los ajustes pertinentes. Con base en el análisis de la información recopilada, por medio de la observación participante y la entrevista como técnicas, se encontró un progreso en los estudiantes al cambiar la metodología tradicional y usar como estrategia didáctica la resolución de problemas, la cual permitió a los estudiantes indagar, analizar e interpretar la información que se les presenta, relacionada con su realidad, para crear explicaciones y poder expresarlas a sus compañeros de forma clara.
dc.description.abstractenglish	This document presents the results of research on the implementation of a strategy, based on problem solving that facilitated the development of scientific competences in 10th grade students; to promote meaningful learning. Based on the analysis of the information gathered, it was found that the students had difficulty, and conducting a diagnostic test, we identified the weaknesses in teaching chemistry; for the development of these competences. According to the above, the design and implementation of the didactic strategy in the group was carried out, which consisted of eight two hour sessions, with the purpose of analyzing the process that was carried out when the students faced a problem related to the laws of gases; which was solved with the concepts of chemistry, and with the guidance of the teacher, to help increase their scientific knowledge. In the same way, as a research action, the analysis of the information was performed at the end of each session, to reflect on the pedagogical practice and to make the adjustments needed. Based on the analysis of the information collected, through participant observation, and interview techniques, progress was found in the students when changing the traditional methodology, and using a didactic strategy for problem solving; where students were asked to investigate, analyze and interpret the information presented to them, relate it to their life, and create explanations and to be able to express them to their classmates in a clear way.
