| dc.description.abstract | Debido a la aparición del internet, ha surgido un nuevo tipo de comunicación basado en la utilización de páginas Web. Esta innovación tecnológica y el uso predominante de las redes de información permiten a las organizaciones ir más allá de los horarios de trabajo y las barreras físicas, integrando a los usuarios con portales Web dirigidos a recopilar y difundir documentos y ofrecer servicios relacionados con dicho contenido. La Escuela de Ingeniería de Petróleos de la Universidad Industrial de Santander – UIS mostró su interés en desarrollar un portal propio para ofrecer a su comunidad académica, profesores y estudiantes, así como a visitantes interesados en conocer la escuela, un espacio en la red donde se sientan identificados, encuentren información de interés y conozcan los eventos, talleres o seminarios que se realizan para difundir la labor de la escuela. Este proyecto fue desarrollado mediante la metodología del Proceso Unificado – RUP que permitió un desarrollo planificado y claro del proceso de construcción. Se utilizo el UML – Lenguaje Unificado de Modelado para la documentación del sistema, y este se desarrollo utilizando herramientas software de libre distribución. El servidor Web que se utilizo, encargado de atender las peticiones de los clientes es Apache, el almacenamiento y administración de los datos se implemento a través del manejador de base de datos MySQL y el lenguaje de programación Web utilizado fue PHP. La combinación Apache-MySQL-PHP es muy utilizada actualmente, además de que existen paquetes software donde vienen incluidas estas tres herramientas como el AppServ*** . | |
| dc.description.abstractenglish | A new communication type based on the use of web pages has appeared with the Internet. This technological innovation and the predominant use of the information networks allows to the organizations to go beyond the schedules of work and the physical barriers, integrating the users with portals web directed to gather and to diffuse documents and to offer services related with this content. The School of Petroleum Engineering of the Industrial de Santander University – “UIS” showed its interest in developing an own portal to offer to its academic community, professors and students, as well as to visitors interested in knowing the school, to have a space in the net where they feel identified, find information of interest and know of the events, shops or seminars that are carried out to diffuse the work of the school. This project was developed by means of the methodology of the Rational Unified Process - RUP that allowed a planned and clear construction process. We uses the UML - Unified Modeling Language for the documentation of the system, and open source software for the development. The web server in charge of assisting the petitions of the clients is Apache, the storage and administration of the data it was implemented by means of the database management system MySQL and the language of web programming used was PHP. The combination Apache-MySQL-PHP it is very used at the moment, and exist merging open source software installer package like AppServ*** that includes it. | |
