Descripción: Como resultado de esta práctica jurídico social que se realizó en el marco del convenio existente entre la Universidad Industrial de Santander y la Corporación Opción Legal, a través del Programa de Asistencia legal a Población con necesidad de Protección Internacional y Víctimas del Conflicto Armado, en conjunto con el Consultorio Jurídico UIS y a raíz de que a consultorio jurídico de la universidad industrial de Santander llegó información acerca de una situación que se presenta en nuestro territorio con la población migrante venezolana, que se puede evidenciar en los usuarios de los servicios del centro de desarrollo infantil CDI volver a sonreír. En razón a que los usuarios de esta institución manifiestan que no saben cómo realizar una afiliación a salud, y no cuentan con los documentos necesarios para inscribir a los niños en la institución, se identificó que no conocen los procedimientos adecuados para la protección de los derechos para este segmento de la población. Se generan unas rutas para que en casos futuros los usuarios tengan claridad sobre que deben hacer para acceder a los derechos de identidad, salud y educación y se oriente desde el consultorio jurídico con este valioso servicio a la población migrante.

Description: This socio-legal practice was carried out within the framework of the cooperation agreement between the Industrial University of Santander and the Opción Legal Corporation, through the Legal Assistance Program for Populations in Need of International Protection and Victims of the Armed Conflict, in collaboration with the UIS Legal Clinic. The practice emerged in response to reports received by the Legal Clinic regarding issues affecting the Venezuelan migrant population in the region, particularly identified among users of the Child Development Center Volver a Sonreír. Many of the families attending this institution expressed that they were unaware of the procedures required to register for health services and lacked the necessary documents to enroll their children in the center. This situation revealed a broader problem: insufficient knowledge of the mechanisms available to guarantee the rights of this vulnerable population segment. As a result, procedural guidelines were developed to ensure that, in future cases, users have clear instructions on how to access rights related to identity, health, and education. The Legal Clinic thus provides essential orientation and legal support to the migrant population through this valuable service.
